Conferences
Throughout my graduate studies, I had the chance to speak at two conferences presenting papers I wrote.
The American Italian Sociohistorical Association, Third Series
In July 2017, I had the chance to speak at the IASA Conference at the University of Cork, Ireland. I presented the paper “Italian Stories: Revisiting the Immigration of Italian-Americans Through The Voice Of The New Immigrants” done in collaboration with the Dean of my college at St. John’s University. With this paper, we presented the issue of the brain drain in Italy.
IV Congreso Internacional De Ética De La Comunicación
In March 2017, I went to the “Universidad de Sevilla” to speak at the conference and present the paper I wrote: “The Ethics of Cultural Caricature”. With this paper, I had the goal to raise questions about the ethical aspects in the use of the cultural caricatures; I used practical examples such as Halloween customes and cartoons.
